Pastor Michael J. Rhodes

Senior Pastor/ Founder


Pastor Michael J. Rhodes, a native of Memphis, TN, is the Founder and pastor of Bountiful Praise Ministries in Memphis, TN. He has been married for twenty-nine years to the beautiful Evangelist Sharon D. Rhodes and a proud father of a wonderful son, Jeremiah J. Rhodes. 

Pastor Rhodes has great respect for education in the natural and spiritual realms. In December 1988, Pastor Rhodes earned his Associate Degree in Telecommunication Engineering from Southwest Tennessee Community College and later went on to attend the University of Memphis to receive a Bachelor of Science in Technical Management. Pastor Rhodes also has an Associate Degree from All Saints Bible College in Biblical Studies.

Pastor Rhodes' many years of experience as the Chief Engineer at the University of Memphis served him well in developing a comprehensive vision that addresses the diverse needs of the people he is committed to serving. Pastor Rhodes has a vision for winning lost souls for Jesus Christ. He has committed Bountiful Praise Church to be a ministry where every man, woman, boy, and girl will have repeated opportunities to hear, feel, see and touch the gospel of Jesus Christ, with an emphasis on solid praise, worship, and biblical teaching. Pastor Rhodes is making the word of God real, relevant, and relational in the life of believers and non-churchgoers alike. The ministry will be a beacon of hope to countless individuals and families.

Pastor Rhodes has stability in training and leadership. As an Associate Elder at Temple of Deliverance, he supported his pastor (Late Bishop G. E. Patterson and Bishop M. R. Hawkins) for seventeen years before God spoke to him concerning starting his ministry. He successfully serves on the Board of Ordination for Tennessee Fourth Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction.  A proven leader with a vibrant personality, Pastor Rhodes motivates ministries and collaborates with the community to achieve benefits for others. He has proven his exceptional skills as a leader through the implementation and administration of the strategic ministry. Reaching the lost at any cost.

Evangelist Sharon D. Rhodes

Evangelist Sharon D. Rhodes' objective is St. John 9:4 “I MUST work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh when no man can work.” Evangelist Rhodes is a native Memphian, lovingly dedicated to her primary call as the wife of one husband, the Pastor Michael J. Rhodes of 29 beautiful years, and the mother of one son, none other than the little Mr. Jeremiah J. Rhodes, my son of 7 blessed wonderful years! He is the love of his mother's life! As well as the divine mandate on her life to minister to the lost at any cost and the backslider upon arrival for repentance.

    She received Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at a very young age, and it was evident at the outset that the call of God was on her life. She was commissioned as an evangelist and has served in ministry as the Lord had anointed and appointed her to walk in the divine call of evangelism. Evangelist Rhodes was a member of the Temple of Deliverance, where she faithfully served for 17 years. She is currently a member and 1st lady of Bountiful Praise Church INC.


    Evangelist Rhodes attended Southwest Tennessee Community College and is presently attending the University of Memphis. Evangelist Rhodes has served as a level 5 Educator in the Original Shelby County School System as well as the former Memphis City School System, now known as the Shelby County School System, for 8 years.


    Evangelist Sharon D. Rhodes is an anointed, appointed, preaching, teaching, and community care outreach, actively accomplishing its mission through revivals, workshops, seminars, mentorship, and hands-on intervention and prevention ministry initiatives, and is a respected evangelist and speaker. Evangelist Rhodes Ministry is a life-changing ministry that reaches beyond beliefs, ethnicities, religious persuasions, and cultural restrictions "to release people into their purposed destinies. "She is a woman of profound intercession coupled with a passion to minister healing to hurting people. Therefore, she is confident of her calling and assignment in this 21st Century. She's always reminded of First Timothy 1:12--And I thank Christ Jesus for our Lord, who hath enabled me for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry."


    Evangelist Rhodes’ resolve is to complete the God-ordained assignment in her life by "doing the work of an evangelist and making full proof of the ministry.” God uniquely equips this acclaimed evangelist with a prophetic announcement of the Cross. She conveys the hearer into a Biblical, efficient, and inspired way of living for Jesus Christ. She is a sought-after evangelist and a conference-itinerate presenter, having been inconspicuously preserved for such a time as this.

STATEMENT OF FAITH

We believe the Bible to be the inspired and only infallible written Word of God.


We believe that there is only One God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son and, God the Holy Spirit.


We believe in the blessed Hope, which is the rapture of the Church of God, which is in Christ, at His return.


We believe that the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious Blood of Jesus Christ.


We believe that regeneration by the Holy Ghost is absolutely essential for personal salvation.


We believe that the redemptive work of Christ on the Cross provides healing for the human body in answer to believing prayer.


We believe that the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2:4, is given to believers who ask for it.


We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy and separated life in this present world, Amen.


Ephesians 4:11-16

For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.
